Round Up Averages: The fourth line text box allows you to specify whether fractional amounts are dropped or rounded up. You can see that the choice for "10 Pin Bowling" is False. This means that if the calculated average is something like 140.8, then the reported average would be 140 with the 0.8 decimal fraction being dropped. If you change this from False to True then decimal values will be rounded using the rule that if the value is 0.5 or higher it will be rounded up, otherwise it will be rounded down. With a True value an average of 130.8 would become 131 and 130.2 would become 130. If you selected one decimal for "Decimals in Average" then the rounding will be used for the second decimal place. For example with one decimal being used an average value of 130.56 would become 130.6 and 130.52 would become 130.5.

You will need to consider the values you enter for "Decimals in Average" and "Round Up Averages" carefully since they will affect scoring and positioning. If you have any doubt about what values to select you will want to consult your league rules and other league officers. If you still cannot decide, contact the author of this program for help.
